Question 1

I bought an onigiri from 7-11 yesterday afternoon. It costed a little over 100 yen. I always buy the same salmon onigiri when I'm a little hungry. It keeps me full for a short period of time.

Question 2

The convenience store is located not far from my apartment. I have been to that convenience store more than 50 times since it's the closest one to my place.

Question 3

It was 7-11. It is definitely my preferred chain when it comes to coffee, pre-packaged foods and snacks. For sweets, I think Lawson has the best products (Uchi Café).

Question 4

I generally buy onigiri and a huge variety of drinks from various convenience stores in Japan. I like to try things that I've never tried before. Convenience stores in Japan usually release seasonal products that I always buy since they're very popular among Kyotoites and gets sold out quickly.

Question 5

I don't think I can ever work at a convenience store. There are so many services that I need to be familiar with. I also need to deal with customers that may be having a bad day!

Question 6

I think the answer varies from person to person. For those who prioritizes money over health, it may be unhealthy since they take very little time to rest. I have a friend who works 16 hours every day to get more money and only sleeps for 4 hours in the morning. On the other hand, being able to pay your bills at 2 am at a place two minutes away from your house is very convenient.

Question 1

I bought a large cafe latte from 7 and I. It was 200¥.

Question 2

7 and I outside of Yamato Yagi station. It is not the first time. I have been there hundreds of times before.

Question 3

7-11. I prefer 7-11 to Lawson and Family Mart. 7-11 has really good coffee that is cheap. I don't like Daily Yamazaki, but I don't think they exist in Nara.

Question 4

I buy coffee the most. I pay my credit card bill and use the ATM sometimes, but they charge you a fee.

Question 5

No. I think that it would be interesting if I were younger, but I'm too old now. It also might be dangerous now because of the coronavirus.

Question 6

I think that it is super convenient. Convenience stores in America are tied to a gas station. The food is awful and you can't do most of the services that you can do in Japan.

Question 1

Yesterday, I bought a tall can of Strong Zero double lemon chu-hi. I can't remember exactly how much it cost but I know it was less than ¥200.

Question 2

It was the 7-Eleven next to the pachinko parlour by Yagi station. It was neither my first time visiting a 7-Eleven nor my first time visiting that particular 7-Eleven.

Question 3

As I said above, it was the 7-Eleven near Yagi station. It is one of my preferred convenience stores. They have a pretty decent range of goods, from snacks and drinks to ready-made meals and cooking ingredients. Their prices are often lower than their competitors too, though only by a couple of yen. There aren't many 7-Elevens near my house though. FamilyMart is probably the chain I frequent the most in Osaka. Honestly though, any konbini will do!

Question 4

It would either be something for lunch during the work week or alcohol after work. I don't really use the other services at the convenience store, unless you count the rest room!

Question 5

Hell no. Ungodly hours. Rude customers. Low salary. Being on my feet all day. No breakroom. I'm sure there are a dozen more reasons why working in a convenience store is a terrible idea but you get the point. I mean no disrespect to anyone who is currently working at a convenience store, and I appreciate the service you provide, but I'm sure you agree with all I've said.

Question 6

It's probably both convenient and unhealthy. Being able to run out and grab a light bulb or a pack of diapers at two in the morning because it absolutely can not wait is great. That said, I'm sure we all make a lot more frivilous purchases as a result of being able to shop twenty-four seven. And we are more inclined to eat bad foods because they are cheap, easy to prepare, and widely available.
