I used to live in Wakayama prefecture. Wakayama is famous for producing umeboshi and mikan. You can also find Adventure World in Wakayama which is a pretty popular zoo in Japan.

Yes, I've been there, as I mentioned, I used to live there. It was the first place I lived in in Japan. I made many friends there and refer to it as my Japanese hometown. Life was simplere there and the people were very kind. I really liked how people in Wakayama loved to share their crops like persimmons or mikan. I was always so grateful.

I haven't been to the countryside since I moved to Osaka. I miss Wakayama sometimes and would definitely want to come visit again soon.

When I used to live in Wakayama, I used to take the train every day to get to work. My favorite part of the train ride is when the train would cross the bridge over the Kinokawa river. It was especially beautiful during spring time when the sky is clear and the water is shining. It was always so calming looking at the clean, shimmering water and made my work day just a little better.

I really want to go to Iceland before all the ice melts. I want to see the aurora borealis and take in the unique landscape.

I currently live in Yao, it's a lot more exciting than Wakayama, and certainly more convenient. There are more malls, stores, restauarants and groceries we can go to. We are also near Namba so we can go there easily if we want to have a good time. But, we live far enough so that we aren't constantly in the way of thousands of tourist and other busy people. Yao is not too urban and not as barren as Wakayama. I think it's just right for my husband and I, although, we prefer the ramen from Wakayama more!

I think that everyone will pick Nara prefecture, so I will be different and choose Hokkaido prefecture. I know that it is famous for it's natural wilderness.

I have never been to Hokkaido, but it has a famous ice carving festival every winter and delicious seafood.

My wife likes to take a drive to a large, although unremarkable park in Nara prefecture in the Spring and Autumn months, so the dog can run and play. Now we have a baby and I imagine that we will keep doing this.

My hometown is Invercargill in New Zealand and it gets beautiful aurora very often.

I would like to visit a place called Churchill in Canada. This town is near Hudson Bay and it is famous because polar bears come to the town and walk around. I would love to see wild polar bears.

I feel where I live in a little too remote as most of my friends live in Osaka city.
