  1. Japan has many prefectures. Tell me one. What is this prefecture famous for?
  2. Have you ever been to this prefecture? If yes, how was it? If no, would you like to go? Why? What would you do there?
  3. How often do you get on a train, get on a bike or get in a car and visit the countryside? Where do you go? What do you do there? How does it affect your mood?

Question 1

I think that everyone will pick Nara prefecture, so I will be different and choose Hokkaido prefecture. I know that it is famous for it's natural wilderness.

Question 2

I have never been to Hokkaido, but it has a famous ice carving festival every winter and delicious seafood.

Question 3

My wife likes to take a drive to a large, although unremarkable park in Nara prefecture in the Spring and Autumn months, so the dog can run and play. Now we have a baby and I imagine that we will keep doing this.

My hometown is Invercargill in New Zealand and it gets beautiful aurora very often.

I would like to visit a place called Churchill in Canada. This town is near Hudson Bay and it is famous because polar bears come to the town and walk around. I would love to see wild polar bears.

I feel where I live in a little too remote as most of my friends live in Osaka city.
