Question 1

I have a few hours of free time on weekdays, but the amount and time varies depending on the day. I have two days off per week, so I can do anything on those days. I have about the same amount of free time as I did five years ago. Last year, though, I had almost no free time. I am very happy to be on my current schedule. Compared to Japanese people, I think I have a lot more free time. In the US it varies from person to person.

Question 2

I don't consider any part of my current routine to be a waste of time. Previously, I considered my long commutes to be a waste of time. Sitting on a train for an hour or more was terrible. It was even worse if I couldn't get a seat.

Question 3

I could definitely do more in my free time, but I feel like I kind of deserve to rest for a while. Life was too busy before and I had so much stress that I felt physically ill. It's so important to take the time to be healthy both mentally and physically. I feel so much better now and I don't pressure myself to do more.

Question 4

I have the most free time on Sundays and Mondays. I use that time to clean my apartment, cook healthier food, do yoga, watch Netflix, and talk online with my family and friends.

Question 5

When I get home from work I immediately take a shower. After that, I relax until I go to bed. I like to have dinner while I watch Netflix. It's very relaxing.

Question 6

To save time I like to stock up on items so I won't run out soon and need to go shopping more times than necessary. I order many things online and keep extras stored in my closet like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and toilet paper. I also keep some extra dry foods or foods with a long shelf life in my cabinet. I have always done this and I regularly check and rotate these items so they don't go to waste. This habit really paid off in 2020 when we needed to stay home and it was hard to find certain items. I already had enough things to last at least a few weeks. I only had to go out to buy perishable foods. It is also helpful in case of any other emergency, natural or financial.
