Question 1

When I lived in Hyogo prefecture many people talked about going to Suma beach in Kobe. It seemed really popular. One day I went there with some friends to have a BBQ and I was surprised to see how much trash was on the beach. I didn't want to go back there again.

Question 2

I'm not really into swimming in salty water, so I usually enjoy walking on the beach and checking out the different types of shells. Sometimes I take some home. If I had a chance to swim with a dolphin or sea turtle I would love to do that!

Question 3

I think the last time I went to the beach was in Tottori. It was about 5 years ago. I was camping by the beach in Sakaiminato with my ex husband. I enjoyed road trips to that area. I chose that town because they have a lot of Gegege no Kitaro attractions. I also liked to take photos of the beach and some of the ships and boats in the port.

Question 4

I look forward to outdoor activities. I love going out to forests and gardens. Sunflowers are absolutely gorgeous! The problem with summer is that I'm quite sensitive to the heat and I get tired easily. Sometimes I get headaches from the strong sunlight. I have even had heat sickness before. I need a lot of cold drinks and ice cream!

Question 5

I'm from Oklahoma, so I never saw the beach until I was about 20 years old. I visited Florida and saw the beach for the first time. It was so much better than I had imagined. The sand was very soft and it was very clean. It was cleaner than the beaches I have visited in Japan and it had more restaurants and cafes.

Question 6

It's a little far, but I would recommend the Tottori sand dunes. It's the most interesting beach I have been to in Japan. I was amazed by the sand museum sculptures. They even have camels at the beach!
