  1. There are many ways to find a job in the modern world. Name one.
  2. At what age do people usually begin to work in your country? Is it common for people to get a part-time job first or is it more common to graduate and then enter the workforce?
  3. Have you ever had a job? If so, what was your first job? How old were you when you started working? Was the work difficult? Was the pay good? If not, why not?
  4. How should a person dress when they go for a job interview? How should they act? Should they be confident, polite, humble? Why do you think so?
  5. What advice would you give to someone who was preparing for a job interview? What is something they should definitely do? What is something they definitely should not do?
  6. If you could do anything you wanted, what would be your dream job? Why?

Question 1

I remember a TV commercial from quite a long time ago that featured a red mouse, Baitoru. The catchphrase was so catchy that I still remember it until today. So, I'd say consulting an agent from Baitoru is one way to find a job!

Question 2

It really depends on social class. Some start working when they're just 15 to help out the family while others don't start working until they're 28 after getting a Master's or Ph.D. degree.

Question 3

My first ever job was working at a salsa cafe in Gion, Kyōto. It was a very rewarding experience as I learned how to make various drinks and cocktails while improving my Japanese. I also learned a little bit about what salsa dance is all about!

Question 4

For the most part, a person should wear business attire when going into a job interview. I don't think people should "act" as I find it best for people to be themselves, however, politeness is a must.

I'd say "you should overprepare." This advice has worked wonders for me personally, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to land a great job. I also often say to people to make a great first impression. It's how people will remember you 90% of the time.

Question 6

I would say being a coach while working remotely is ideal for me. I love impacting people's lives and watching them grow.
