I think using a job website is very common now. For foreigners in Japan, Gaijinpot is very popular for English teachers.

I think the majority of high school and university students have part time or weekend jobs. Most people go into full time employement when they finish university.

Yes, my first job was at McDonalds where I was a cook. I worked part time during the weekends. The pay was not great due to my age and experience but I learned a lot.

I think a person should dress professionally. The should act confident but not arrogant. They must be polite and show some humility. I think they need to show these because this is what employers look for.
