EY Y03 L30 Goals


  1. What are your short-term goals right now? What do you hope to have achieved by the end of this week, this month or this year?
  2. Do you have any long-term goals? If yes, what are they? When do you hope to achieve them by? If no, why not?
  3. What were your goals when you were still in high school?
  4. Did you achieve those goals? If yes, how? If no, why not?
  5. Tell us about someone you know who has set unrealistic goals for themself in the past or in the present. This can be yourself, a friend, a family member, a co-worker, a classmate or a celebrity. What did they hope to achieve? Why was this unrealistic?
  6. A “bucket list” is a list of things a person hopes to have achieved before they die, such as places they wish to visit, foods they would like to try, mountains they want to climb or qualifications they hope to earn. What is the number one item on your bucket list, the one thing above all else you would like to have achieved in your lifetime?

Question 1

I hope to have started to exercise regularly again, even if it is only for a short time. Hopefully I have achieved this by the end of the week.

Question 2

I would like to complete a degree in computing. I plan to finish it by mid 2023.

My goals were to travel abroad and to live in England.

Yes, I did. I have traveled a fair bit and I lived in England for just under two years.

Question 5

I knew someone who wanted to have their own successful business. The problem was that they did not plan well although their idea had some inital promise.

Question 6

My current number one bucket list item is simple in its concept but it is extremely hard to achieve. I want to be a patient father for my two children. I want to raise them well and give them happy childhood memories.
