Question 1

Being a beef lover, there are so many beef dishes that I enjoy eating. One of them is the classic beef teppanyaki. I eat this dish quite often as I really enjoy eating food that is cooked in front of me and served directly by the chef. I usually eat it at restaurants in Kyōto and Kōbe. There is a restaurant called Misono, which originated in Kōbe. It is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Japan.

Question 2

I had it yesterday! It was amazing as usual. I recently bought a portable yakiniku set so that I can enjoy having a yakiniku dinner at home. I specifically ate Hokkaido-raised beef yesterday. The amount of fat was just perfect and it kept me full for a long time.

Question 3

Red meat all the way! My favorite dish would be all ranks of wagyu steak. I like it simple without sauce or wasabi; just salt and pepper is perfect. Although I shouldn't be eating too much beef, I just can't resist myself from time to time.

Question 4

The most expensive beef that I've had so far would be a steak from Aragawa, a restaurant located in Kōbe. I had it when my parents were visiting me back in 2016. It was one of the foods that I will remember forever. My dad paid for it and the total was well over $1000 for three set courses. I don't think that the value is good since I can make something similar for far less.

Question 5

Not at all. Eating red meat, for me, is one of life's greatest pleasures and no one can ever tell me to stop eating it! It would be like telling a baby to stop drinking milk. My love for red meat is ineffable.

Question 6

I have tried it once in Singapore, however, I don't think that I will be substituting real meat for it. It doesn't taste nearly as good as real beef. I will probably buy it once in a while if it becomes widely available in Japan for healthier options.
