Question 1

I ate lunch at Sukiya with my family last Sunday. We had gyu-don. I had kimchi in my beef bowl, with miso soup and salad. It was good. It had been a while since we ate there because of the coronavirus. I prefer Matsuya, but I haven't seen one since moving to Nara.

Question 2

I rarely go to fast-food restaurants. We sometimes go to Mos Burger when we are shopping at the Don Quixote plaza. A cheeseburger I guess. They advertise that their beef is 100% Japanese. I think that it's a little expensive.

Question 3

Never. We didn't have any fast-food restaurants in my town and my mother always cooked delicious food. There is another reason. See ensuing question #4.

Question 4

I was about eight years old. My family was away on a Sunday. My mother and I went to church. After we would usually have a family dinner, but it was just my mother and I. We went to a McDonalds that had just opened in my town. My mother tried to find the healthiest choices. She chose a filet-o-fish set with milk for a drink. The milk wasn't cold and the sandwich tasted very fishy. My mother didn't eat anything and said that she wasn't hungry. I went home and took a nap because I felt tired. I woke up feeling very sick and threw up. I had to go to the hospital to have an IV. I never went back to McDonalds after that experience. The next time that I ate McDonalds was 28 years later when I moved to Japan.

Question 5

I think that gyu-don restaurants are healthy. We have rice, onion, beef, salad and miso soup. I think that KFC is the least healthy. We eat fried chicken, biscuits with honey, cole slaw with mayo and drink soda.

Question 6

The Mcdonalds near me usually has a shrimp burger or teriyaki burger which are items that you would never see in America. McDonalds will always remain open because it is the largest fast-food chain in the world. I recommend Shake Shack in Shinsaibashi. It is a New York burger chain that uses the best ingredients and cooks everything perfectly. They have special sauces for their burgers, yummy crinkle cut french fries and delicious milkshakes.
