Easily, the most famous (or infamous) politician in the country right now is President Duterte. From my perspective, I think he's famous for being a foul-mouthed public authority figure and is making a lot of extrememly questionable laws that don't seem to favor the Filipino people.Question 2
I don't like him because of the amount of damage he's done in the country, and it's only his 4th year out of 6. There is widespread misinformation, undocumented human rights crimes, increased corruption and unfavorable deals with China.Question 3
The Philippines officially has traffic laws, but in actuality, people barely follow these traffic rules. When I was still a new driver, I nearly got into an accident, even though I was following traffic rules, and my dad told me, in this country, you are more likely to die following the traffic rules than by just forgetting them because you would be the only one following them.Question 4
Right now they're trying to shutdown one of our major TV stations called, ABS-CBN. They have been in business for decades and have reportedly been doing business properly. But the government is trying to catch them for tax evasion, I'm not sure about the details, all I know is that the evidence the government is producing about this so called tax evasion is suspicious. The last time the government tried to shut down a big network like ABS-CBN was during the era of President Marcos, where there was widespread corruption in the Philippines. I believe their reasons for going after the TV station is really about politics rather than upholding the law.Question 5
We definitely need to implement laws about divorce and sex education. There are laws being created for it right now, but it has been going on for years, I wish they would move faster with it, the people needed these laws 50 years ago.Question 6
I think they should make it against the law for big companies that are choosing not to switch to affordable zero-waste products and manufacturing methods all over the world. The methods are already there, but I think big companies are trying to maintain their current processes, even though the destruction they cause is irrefutable, because making money is more of a priority to them right now than saving the environment.Tough Vocabulary
