  1. There are many celebrity chefs on TV. Name one. Where are they from? What kind of food do they make? Why have they been a success?

Question 1

Anthony Bourdain. He was from the Northeast coast of America. He started as a seafood chef in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He was a French trained chef, at Le Cordon Blue. He cooked mostly classic French cuisine. He was most successful for his travel shows about food.

Question 2

I do. Not only was he an excellent chef he was also a writer. He wrote a book called " Kitchen Confidential" that is all about the inside workings of a restaurant kitchen.

Question 3

If I could eat at any restaurant in the world, I would go to Jiro Ono's sushi restaurant in Tokyo. I watched a documentary called "Jiro Dreams of Sushi". The movie showcased his passion and skill for making the best sushi in the world.

Question 4

I grew up n Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.. Boston is famous for its seafood. New England Clam Chowder is one of Boston's most famous foods. Also, lobster, cod fish, scallops, and especially oysters!

Question 5

My passion for cooking began at a young age. My brother and I had to cook for ourselves after our mother passed away. Our biggest influence was watching Julia Child on her cooking show.

Question 6

If I could open my own restaurant, I would probably open an American style BBQ. I would have a slow cooking pit smoker. I would make beef brisket, pork spareribs, cornbread, baked beans and collard greens. I think that it would be successful in Japan because we don't have an American BBQ style restaurant.
