Question 1

I went to a karaoke bar with my father-in-law about a year ago. I have been many times with him before that. I sang "More Than a Felling" by the band Boston. There are many high notes in this song, it is difficult to hit them all, but very funny when you can't. I always have a good time going to karaoke with my father-in-law.

Question 2

I don't love it or hate it. I do enjoy going, but usually just to hear other people sing. I always try to do my best when I do sing.

Question 3

"Remember the Mountain Bed" This song is written by Woody Guthrie. It is performed by Wilco on the "Mermaid Avenue 2" album.

Question 4

The song is about Woody Guthrie's travels across America. He meets a mountain woman and settles down to have children. It's a beautifully written ballad that Woody Guthrie wrote, but he died before he actually set it to music. Wilco had gained access to the rights of the lyrics and performed the song.

Question 5

I don't know the woman's name. I was at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston. There was a student who performed the Ella Fitzgerald song "At Last". It was incredibly beautiful. She had such a smooth and powerful voice all at the same time.

Question 6

Tough question. It's too hard to pick just one. I have to say that the best harmony vocals of any band that I have ever heard has to be Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Their voices harmonize so well it's incredible. The single artist might have to be Billie Holiday. She was a jazz singer during the jazz era in America 30s,40s and 50s. She sang with so much depth and emotion. Her life was very tragic, and she died very young from drug abuse.
