  5. What is the attitude in your country to plastic or cosmetic surgery?
  6. If you could change a physical feature of yourself, a member or your family, a friend, a colleague or a famous person, what would it be? Why?

Question 1

There are two places that I think are beautiful, the first is Kinkaku-ji. I went there because it is such a popular tourist destination. I last went there about 10 years ago. The second is a small village in New Zealand called Te Anau. It is close to my home town and it is like Queenstown before it got famous. I last went there 3 years ago.

Question 2

In Kinkaku-ji the lake and garden areas are beautiful with the golden pavilion in the center providing a building with a lot of splendor and history. Te Anau is famous for its lake, surrounding nature and mountains. The small village is nice and relaxing and the local people are very friendly.

Question 3

I do not know much about celebrities as I am not so interested in them, but when I googled "beautiful Japanese" a model named Meisa Kuroki was the most popular choice. I think she is popular because she is tall, thin and has a pretty face.

Question 4

I do not have any routines other than exercising. I gained a lot of weight and fat when I broke my leg so I am trying to burn it off and get fitter and healthier. I do a little weight training and I walk my dog every day.

Question 5

I think plastic surgery is acceptable for all situations in New Zealand. I think most rich people can afford cosmetic surgery to fix something about their appearance that they do not like if they wish to, but normal every day people usually do not have the money to do so.

Question 6

If I could change anything about my appearance I would change my height. I have always wanted to be taller - about 190 cm - as I am 172 cm now. I think it would be practical in that I could reach things easily, I think I would be better at rugby (although I am probably too old to play competitively now) and I think tall men are seen as being more handsome than shorter men.

Kinkaku-ji is pretty nice on a sunny day, when you have the Golden Pavilion reflected clearly in the nearby pond. I remember the gardens of Ginkaku-ji being nicer though. It’s a shame they never actually painted the Silver Pavilion silver.
