Question 1

Sometimes I eat healthy food and sometimes I eat junk food. It usually depends on how busy or stressed out I am. When I'm more relaxed I like to cook a healthy meal. I prefer cooked vegetables over raw, so I often choose to make stir fry, stew, or curry. I eat meat daily, either beef or chicken. I like salmon, but it is really expensive, so it's a rare treat.

Question 2

If I'm in a hurry I usually grab something at the convenience store. This happens quite a lot, unfortunately. I usually get fried chicken on the go, but if there is a sandwich that looks really good I will choose that instead. On occasion I like to get some fast food to go, usually a burger and fries. I do this a few times a month.

Question 3

Seafood is very common in the Japanese diet. It is healthy, but I don't really enjoy seafood. I get those healthy fats into my diet by eating things like hemp seeds and cooking with coconut oil.

Question 4

I'm sure my grandparents were less picky than I am, but my grandmother always did the cooking and shopping, so maybe she was just choosing what she likes. I know my mother is quite picky about food. She often special orders things at restaurants and tends to eat the same things all the time. My father is more adventurous about food. He likes to try new things.

Question 5

Counting calories and macronutrients is an obvious way to get information about your diet. The problem with calorie counting is that it is very tedious and can become such a pain that many people stop doing it. I think intermittent fasting is an easy way to reduce your calorie intake because your allotted eating time has been reduced. It also tends to motivate you to make healthier choices during your limited time. I did this once for two years and I thoroughly enjoyed it because I felt so much better.

Question 6

My guilty pleasure is definitely chocolate. I eat it almost daily, though sometimes I can go up to a week without it if I am occupied with something else. Dark chocolate is actually good for you in smaller amounts, so sometimes I use that to justify my habit.
