Question 1

I tend to like hanging out with people I already know. I meet new people every week but I don't really have time to hang out with my friends. It's nice to just talk and spend time with people that have many things in common with me.

Question 2

I like to ask the question "what made you smile this week?" It usually gives me a lot of hints about who they are as a person. Another good icebreaker question is "where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Questions related to religion, political stance, and income should be avoided.

Question 3

I have a very weird tendency to not like someone if they smell bad. It's probably a psychological thing but I just can't like someone if I meet them for the first time and their odor isn't pleasant. I think I need to go to a psychologist!

Question 4

I try to be as respectful and polite as possible when meeting someone for the first time. My mentor used to tell me that first impression is everything. It's how people will remember you most of the time.

Question 5

I didn't really pay attention to first impressions when I was in high school, however, I make more effort now to be more pleasant with people than how I was back then.

Question 6

When you're entering a new workplace or meeting a client for the first time, it's important to make a good first impression. I think asking the right question and putting the other person in the spotlight does the trick.
