Question 1

I played for my school rugby and cricket clubs. This was extremely common for boys in NZ.

Question 2

I wish had I tried to play basketball, although I am a little short. It seems fun and a lot less punishing on the body.

Question 3

I am currently taking onlines courses in computer programming. This is interesting and something that I am enjoying.

Question 4

I would like to learn the traditional way to make Japanese sweets. It seems like a unique skill and it could be challenging. It could be a little time consuming, but this depends on the sweets. I think it would be best to go to a class as they would provide all the ingrediants and tools that I would need.

Question 5

I have never understood the appeal of flower arranging. I am not into artisitic things.

Question 6

I would like to go to all the huge sporting events around the world and collect a program or other souvenir. If I am lucky, I get some of the athletes to sign it.

Question 1

I used to be a leader of two school club activities - “Global Issues of Art (GIA) Dance” and “Rock Band.” I made these clubs as music is one of my greatest passions. Dance and choreography were something that I really wanted to try as my P.E. dance team did the best during our school dance competition.

Question 2

I wish that I joined Model United Nations (MUN). I didn’t think much of it back then but I now think that debate and public speaking are very useful especially for my future career. I mostly spent my time with my band; practicing for concerts and competitions. My band was called “Last Minute Revival.”

Question 3

When it comes to hobbies, I can sum it up with two words - music and games. I’ve been playing chess since when I was in my teens and will continue to do so until I beat Magnus Carlsen! I spend at least an hour every day on my hobbies as they make me happy. I don’t really spend that much on my hobbies since chess and PlayStation games are pretty affordable.

Question 4

I think the tea ceremony (Sadō) is a fascinating activity, which is also a philosophy that is deep-rooted in Japanese culture. Anyone can enjoy this activity, however, a lot of young people fail to appreciate the beauty and significance behind it.

Question 5

One of my dad’s hobbies, koi fish, is pretty peculiar for me. I can never understand why people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on fish!

Question 6

I think I’d take up archery. It looks very interesting and people say that it requires a lot of concentration. It’s a hobby that requires patience and precision; perhaps something that will get me excited for more than just three to four months.
