Question 1

I have seen and used a gun in real life. It was around 8 years ago in Phuket, Thailand. There was a wide range of guns that I was able to choose from - from handguns to automatic rifles.

Question 2

Yes I have! The first gun that I tried was a Smith & Wesson revolver. It was much heavier than I expected. The recoil of this revolver was considerably strong. I couldn't hit the targets properly as I was a little scared at that time. It was such a great exeperience but I realized that shooting guns in real life is so much harder than how it is in video games!

Question 3

I know that the Singapore Police Force (SPF) generally carry handguns on the job. They are equipped with a revolver called "Taurus Model 85." I think revolvers are much more reliable than semi-automatic pistols, however, they have less ammunition capacity. I believe that the policy is good for the safety of Singaporean citizens. Police need to be able to respond to emergency situations that are sometimes life-threatening. I'm not sure how it is in Indonesia as some argue that it is illegal for police to carry weapons while some others believe that it is allowed if they have the right certifications.

Question 4

In Australia, hunting animals that are considered "pest species" is legal. Gun owners do need a license to be able to hunt. I read somewhere that there has been an increase in the population of kangaroos. Some people hunt kangaroos as many farmers consider them a pest.

Question 5

There was a Thai soldier who shot 29 people dead earlier this year in February. It happened in one of my favorite shopping malls in Bangkok, Terminal 21. Everyone was shocked and terrified when this story was published. More than 50 people were injured when this happened. One person told a news reporter that the soldier was a very precise shooter and that he aimed for people's head.

Question 6

I think many parts of the world will be a better place if there's less gun violence on tv and in movies. There are people who can't differentiate between real life and fiction. I personally know hundreds of people who like video games that uses guns and displays violence, however, they all know that it has nothing to do with their behavior in real life.

Police are allowed to and must carry guns on regular patrol in America. Police officers kill civilians pretty much every day in America with handguns.

Question 4

Of course. Huntng is a very popular outdoor recreation in America. We hunt deer, ducks, bears, moose and wild birds. When I was young I used to go duck hunting with my Uncle Russ on a regular basis during the duck hunting season.
