Question 1

Horyuji Temple. It is the oldest wooden structure in the world. There is a lot of history in Horyuji and a few beautiful mountains surrounding it. Shigi-san has a very beautiful temple at the top.

Question 2

I have been to Shigi-san many times. I have biked past Horyuji Temple many times, but I have never entered its gates. My friends who visited from America went there for the day and enjoyed it very much.

Question 3

Last year for Golden Week we went camping at Biwako lake. We set off in the early afternoon on Saturday. We had to stop at Costco for a few things. We arrived in the evening and set up our campsite in the dark, which wasn't ideal, but it turned out to be fine. We returned home on Monday morning to avoid traffic. It wasn't very expensive. 3,000¥ for three days of camping.

Question 4

It was wonderful. The water was a little cold as it was early May, but the fishing was great. We camped with four other families so we had the campsite and beach to ourselves. It was very peaceful.

Question 5

I remember when I was twelve I visited a WWII submarine docked in Newport Harbor. It was similar to a submarine that my dad was in during the war. I couldn't believe how small it was inside. It was so cramped. I felt claustraphobic just visiting and crawling around inside. My dad was a torpedoman at sea for many months on this type of submarine. It was an interesting and eye-opening experience.

Question 6

If it were my child, I would prefer educational. Probably because I prefer musuems and learning about history. My children would probably prefer an amusement park. I was going to visit the dinosaur musuem in Fukuii during Golden Week, but COVID19 destroyed those plans.

Question 1

In my home town in New Zealand a popular place for day trips is a small town called Riverton. It right next to the ocean and it has a nice beach where you can find lots of small crabs and other marine life. It also has one or two popular cafes and a good fish and chip shop.

Question 2

I have been there ten times or so. It was always good but I always got wet shoes! So, I think summer is the best season to go.

Question 3

My family and I went to a park in Nara. It is not famous but it has a lot of slides and equipment for children to play on. My son cried when he went on the slide - I laughed a little.

It was fun, and I am sure we will go there many more times as he gets older.

I remember for my birthday, when I was about 9 years old, my parents took me to Curio Bay which is famous for seeing and swimming with dolphines. It was a lot of fun and a great memory.

Question 6

I think both have their merits but personally I would prefer to go to a fun place with my friends. If my classmates are my friends then a fun day trip is fine. But if I do not have any close friends in that class then educational would be better.
