This week’s Questions
- We have many chores and tasks that we don't like but need to do every week or every day. Name one. Have you finished that task today/this week? If yes, how was it? Why? If no, why did you delay?
- What for you is the worst regular daily, weekly, monthly or yearly task you are forced by your family or work to do? Why do you hate it so much?
- When you have something you need to do but can't muster the energy, how do you usually or often procrastinate?
- What day of the week is it today? What is the date? When were you originally planning to do this homework? Are you finishing it later than you expected to be finishing it? Why?
- Tell me about a time when being late for something or missing a deadline has caused you undue stress and regret.
- The opposite of "procrastination" is "being proactive". This means to deal with things early, either before they become necessary or before they become a problem. Tell me about one thing you are always "proactive" about?

Question 1
I should study Japanese every week, but I haven't been doing it because I've been to lazy and don't have the motivation to do it. However, I have decided to seriously start studying again once I get back from my vacation in Bali. My husband needs to learn more Japanese by December this year so that he can apply for work with the japanese BOE, so we will study together.Question 2
I really hate having to renew my work visa. Because I'm from the Philippines, there are more requirements because, I think, so many Filipinos give fake paperwork. We need to submit more paperwork to properly verify that all our information is true and properly registered with the government. On top of the extra paperwork, Philippine government offices are extremely inefficient and can take months to send over your requested paperwork, often with an expensive fee too.Question 3
I usually just lay around and watch Netflix or surf the web.Question 4
Today is March 10. I need to fill in this composition for a lesson that I'll have on March 18, so I'm doing my work way ahead of time. I would never procrastinate office work. I'd only procrastinate housework or personal errands.Question 5
There was a time when I completely forgot to email one of my clients asking for a meeting. I didn't remmeber to do it for a month and they didn't try to contact me either. When I finally did remember, we were forced to push back our production schedule by a month and this caused a huge mess, mostly from trying to make it up to the client. They asked for so many unreasonable terms because of the one month delay which we eventually had to agree to in order to appease them. They would also sometimes humilate me in meetings. It was a very bad experience. My boss never got mad at me because at the time, we were forced to overload me with projects because we were replacing the previous managers. Each manager is supposed to have only 3 projects assigned to them max. I had every single project assigned to me, that was 9 projects. It was really the fault of the company and I was just stuck in the middle of it.Question 6
I am always proactive with my work and try to finish tasks assigned to me at once according to which task is most urgent and important.Tough Vocabulary

Question 1
One of my twice a day chores is cleaning my pugs wrinkles. You have to clean them thoroughly or he may get an infection. I do not like to do it as it is a little smelly, and he does not like to have it done.Question 2
Every week or so my wife makes me clean the toilet as I am the who stands up to pee. I am not messy (like some other men) but I still do not like to clean the toilet.Question 3
I listen to music to get motivated to do my chores. Usually heavy metal.Question 4
Today is Tuesday 6th August, right now I am doing my homework right on time, as I planned.Question 5
I usually get stressed if I am late regardless of the situation so as a result I am rarely late to anything. I cannot think of a time when I was late.Question 6
I try to be proactive with money and plan ahead. Especially with paying bills.Tough Vocabulary

Question 1
I have to take my daughter Miwa to her tennis lesson every Monday at 5:30. I didn't have to take her last Monday because it was the fifth Monday of the month, so she didn't have a lesson. I will take her this Monday. I don't like having to bike her on a very busy road. It's a little far too. About a thirty-minute bike ride. I hate that I have to pay for her lessons when I should be the person coaching her.Question 2
I hate having to renew my foreign residence card. I hate going to the immigration office and waiting in line for hours. I usually forget a document and have to go back.Question 3
I usually try to find an excuse as to why I can't do it right away. I sometimes try to do easier tasks to get them out of the way and make time for the bigger task at hand.Question 4
Today is Monday, August 5th. I usually do this homework on Saturday, but I had a makeup lesson during my only free hour on Saturday. I guess it's a little later than usual.Question 5
I was late to renew my driver's license online in America. Now, I have to go back to Boston to renew my license, so I can get a driver's license here in Japan.Question 6
I am usually proactive when it comes to making sure that Miwa is always at school on time with her homework finished. I bring her to school every morning.Tough Vocabulary
